External Recognition

CDP, based in the UK, is an international NGO involved in environmental matters, for example, climate change. It requests large companies and cities to disclose how they are dealing with climate change or water management and then conducts research and evaluation.
We responded to the CDP Climate Change Program 2023 questionnaire conducted by the CDP.
 Based on the evaluation of our response, we received a rating of “A,” an improvement of two ranks from “B” last year.

We have received SBT certification from the Science Based Targets (SBT) Initiative for its greenhouse gas emissions reduction target for 2030, which is a "1.5°C reduction target" based on scientific evidence that is compatible with the level required by the Paris Agreement.

The Company was selected for the first time in 2023 as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index, a stock price index for Japanese companies that are actively involved in ESG (environment, society and governance), and was also selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. The company was also selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index for the second time in the previous year.

The FTSE Blossom Japan Index Series is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies with high ESG ratings and comprises two indices: the FTSE Blossom Japan Index and the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. 

The Company is included in the S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index, an ESG index (stock price index) jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Indexes (S&P), a global index calculation company, and the Japan Exchange Group (JPX).

The Company has been awarded an 'A' rating in the 2023 MSCI ESG rating. This is a step up from the 'BBB' rating in 2022, as the company was highly commended for its labour management, product safety and quality.
The MSCI ESG Rating is a global ESG investment rating index provided by MSCI ESG Research, with seven ratings ranging from 'AAA' to 'CCC'.

The Eruboshi certification is awarded to companies with excellent implementation of initiatives to promote the advancement of women.
The certification requires the development of a general employer action plan based on the Law on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace and the fulfilment of certain criteria.
There are five evaluation criteria for the Eruboshi certification.
We met four criteria - recruitment, retention, working hours and diverse career courses - to achieve Level 2 certification.
 

The Kurumin Certification is granted to companies that have formulated a general employer action plan in accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation,and have achieved the targets set out in the plan and meet certain criteria.
The certification is granted by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as a ‘childcare support company’.
Our company received the Kurumin Certification in 2024.

The Product Safety Awards commend advanced product safety initiatives by companies, aiming to establish product safety as an essential value in business operations and consumers’ lives, and to ensure the safety of products throughout society.
The Company was certified as the first Gold Medal Winning Company* in the Product Safety Awards. Since then,the Company has been recognized for proactive initiatives aimed at achieving a higher level of product safety, while maintaining our existing initiatives. Since the Awards Committee followed up—confirmation that the initiatives at the time of certification are still being maintained, which is conducted every five years after certification as a Gold Medal Winning Company—the “★” mark was added to the Product Safety logo for the first time.
* A company that has won the highest rating in the Product Safety Awards, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award (Gold Award) three times or more are certified as a Gold Medal Winning Company.
