CDP, based in the UK, is an international NGO involved in environmental matters, for example, climate change. It requests large companies and cities to disclose how they are dealing with climate change or water management and then conducts research and evaluation.
For the second year in a row, we have been selected as an “A-List” company, the highest rating , in recognition of our leadership in transparency and performance in the area of climate change.

We have received SBT certification from the Science Based Targets (SBT) Initiative for its greenhouse gas emissions reduction target for 2030, which is a "1.5°C reduction target" based on scientific evidence that is compatible with the level required by the Paris Agreement.

The Company was selected for the first time in 2023 as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index, a stock price index for Japanese companies that are actively involved in ESG (environment, society and governance), and was also selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. The company was also selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index for the second time in the previous year.
The FTSE Blossom Japan Index Series is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies with high ESG ratings and comprises two indices: the FTSE Blossom Japan Index and the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index.


The Company is included in the S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index, an ESG index (stock price index) jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Indexes (S&P), a global index calculation company, and the Japan Exchange Group (JPX).

The Company has been awarded an 'AAA' rating in the 2024 MSCI ESG rating. This was due to the high evaluation of the Group's efforts in GHG emissions management, including the reduction of GHG emissions through its logistics strategy and a high ratio of renewable energy use, as well as labor management and corporate governance to strengthen human capital. The company received the highest rating of “AAA,” a two-step upgrade from the previous “A” rating.
The MSCI ESG Rating is a global ESG investment rating index provided by MSCI ESG Research, with seven ratings ranging from 'AAA' to 'CCC'.

ESG Finance Awards Japan’s is an award system established by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan to evaluate and commend financial institutions and organizations that are actively engaged in ESG finance, as well as companies that engage in sustainable management, and to share the results of these activities with society at large.
Among other categories, ESG Finance Awards Japan’s Environmentally Sustainable Company Category has been established to show to investors and companies specific good practices by companies that produce positive environmental impacts while incorporating important environment-related opportunities and risks into their management strategies to enhance their corporate value and linking such opportunities and risks with their corporate value.
In the category of environmentally sustainable companies, we have been selected as an Environmentally Sustainable Company Category as a company that meets certain standards in terms of disclosure.

The Eruboshi Certification
The Eruboshi certification is awarded to companies with excellent implementation of initiatives to promote the advancement of women.
The certification requires the development of a general employer action plan based on the Law on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace and the fulfilment of certain criteria.
There are five evaluation criteria for the Eruboshi certification.
We met four criteria - recruitment, retention, working hours and diverse career courses - to achieve Level 2 certification.

The Kurumin Certification is granted to companies that have formulated a general employer action plan in accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation,and have achieved the targets set out in the plan and meet certain criteria.
The certification is granted by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as a ‘childcare support company’.
Our company received the Kurumin Certification in 2024.

The Product Safety Awards commend advanced product safety initiatives by companies, aiming to establish product safety as an essential value in business operations and consumers’ lives, and to ensure the safety of products throughout society.
Joshin was certified in FY2014 as the first Gold Product Safety Company*1. In the subsequent follow-up, the Judging Committee highly recognized that Joshin had proactively engaged in activities aimed at achieving an even higher level of product safety while maintaining the existing initiatives. Accordingly, the committee added the “★” mark to Joshin’s Gold Product Safety Company logo, making it the first company to receive the mark under the program. This fiscal year, Joshin underwent the second follow-up and was certified as “★★,” becoming the first company to have the mark under the program.
* A company that has won the highest rating in the Product Safety Awards, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award (Gold Award) three times or more are certified as a Gold Medal Winning Company.
